Biographical Information
Dr. Ann Jacob Smith has been providing services to individuals and families for over 30 years. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Master's of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling at UNC-CH, and her doctorate of philosophy in counseling at The George Washington University in 2005.
Dr. Jacob Smith is now the Director of The Smith Counseling Group, a center that focuses on individual, group, and family therapy. Areas of expertise include family-based treatment (FBT) for eating disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-centered psychotherapy, and supervision and training.
Dr Jacob Smith is certified in Advanced Trauma Treatment and EMDR, a Nationally Certified Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and in the State of Maryland is an Approved Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Supervisor.
