Biographical Information
Dionna Joseph LCPC, is a licensed professional counselor in Maryland. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Human Services Administration and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Professional Counseling from the University of Baltimore.
She currently works for the state of Maryland's Department of Health (MDH) as their Chief of Juvenile Pretrial Services. As Chief of Juvenile Pre-Trial Services she provides administrative oversight of all court-ordered juvenile competency to proceed evaluations and services for children adjudicated incompetent to proceed and ordered to the MDH for competency attainment services . She provides training and assistance to juvenile court jurisdictions throughout the state, to ensure that juvenile’s court ordered competency evaluations and/or attainment services are completed judiciously.
Her clinical interests include child development, juvenile forensics, behavioral health, and parent management training and community engagement.
