DON'T BECOME A LEGAL CASE: Documentation Liability Risks and Recommendations for Counselors

Most likely, you've heard the adage, "Not documented, not done." Documentation is a key factor in defending any malpractice lawsuit or licensing board matter. A well-documented record could be the difference between demonstrating your competency as a provider or losing the case. The session will discuss common documentation problems in defending against malpractice lawsuits or licensing board investigations with suggested best practices in documentation and record-keeping.
