"What About Us?: Managing Burnout"

This presentation will enable participants to:

·  explore current implications and vulnerabilities that  increase burnout;

identify warning signs of burnout;

explore how burnout impacts the ability to provide adequate care;

recall useful coping techniques to integrate into their daily life to prevent burnout; and

develop a self care plan to implement in daily life to better manage burnout.

 Myrja Paul LCPC is the owner and Clinical Director of Sol Counseling & Consulting. Myrja received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and her Master of Science degree in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Myrja’s mission is to decrease the stigma of mental health, particularly in communities of color. Her goal is to help people feel empowered to live, not merely exist or settle. She chose the name Sol because “the sun is a daily reminder that we too can rise again from the darkness, that we too can shine our own light”.

Tyler Mabry LCPC is a certified DBT professional and certified trauma and resilience specialist. After graduating from Bowie State University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, Tyler pursued a Master’s of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Washington University.
